WHERE TO STAY?
The Seychelles feature a wide range of establishments that cater for all clients preferences.
Out of the 115 islands of the Seychelles, 16 of them actually offer accommodation facilities but in the near future new hotels will be built. It is necessary to book in advance especially during the peak season that is Christmas and Easter.
Accomodations range from Private Island Resorts, Large Hotels, Small Hotels, Guest Houses and Self-Catering Establishments. These can be found on the mountainside or Oceanside.
Prices for smaller establishments may cost some 50€ per night and up to 1500€ per night for larger establishments.
For those seeking a private hide away, island resort like Desroches Island Resort and Denis Private island, are formidable locations. With only one hotel on each island, with a limited nimber of rooms, your are guaranteed ultimate privacy as the thick foliage curtain your every move through the islands.
For the urban lover, hotels such as Berjaya Beau Vallon Bay Beach Resort and Casino, Mahe, and Coral Strand, Mahe, are ideally situated just 15 minutes away from the bustling Victoria city centre and just 10 minutes away from the Tequila Boom Nightclub. If your not one to stay in your room or laze on the beach all day, then these are the hotels for you.
Beach lovers can choose from a very wide variety. Allamanda T-Club Beach Resort, Mahe, is located right on the beach at Anse Forbans, and incorporates both class, sophistication and relaxation in its infrastructure. Le Meridien Barbarons echoes the same vibe as the previous but is set in the rural side of Seychelles, at Barbarons, Mahe.
Other beach locations include Blue Lagoon Chalets at Anse la Mouche, Mahe, which has more of a laid back home-sweet-home atmosphere, but offers all the expectations of a 3 star hotel.
Other Self-catering establishments such as Beau Vallon villa, Mahe, and Jamelah Apartments, Mahe, also offer exquisite room categories but give you the freedom of trying to cook your own creole meal or European if you prefer.
